Traveling Expectations

Well I am headed out of town for work and a lot of time I decide on what hair products to pack based on my destination. I go to Austin so much that I realize the water there isn't as soft so there is no need in packing my entire arsenal! So for this trip I packed my spray bottle and my leave in. I decided to rock my wig, and hopefully when I get back on Wednesday night my hair will be ready for a good DCing. Happy Growing ladies!

Henna

I did an overnight hot oil treatment with Dabur Pure Indian Mustard Oil, and applied my Henna. I was applying Henna every week but I believe it was loosening my curl pattern, so I have gone back to using it once a month. My hair loves the conditioning benefits, and I need the color benefits for my gray hairs.  I had some Henna frozen  I mixed about a month ago, so I let it thaw and I put it on my hair for about 3 hours.

I rinsed my Henna and DC with Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner, I put honey in it.  I used my heat hat, and sat for 45 minutes. Then I took off my heat hat, applied Biotin B- Complex Conditioner on top on my DC and let it cool for 15 mins. Then I rinsed the conditioners and applied my Kimmie tube modified leave in. I sealed my hair with my JBCO and EVOL mix. I put four plaits in my hair, and put on my silk scarf. I have to say my hair journey would not have gone as smooth if I did not have my favorite Hercules Sagemann comb! It is seamless and it has never pulled a hair out. Order one online @ www.hotcombs.net/.../Hercules-Sagemann, the comb is called Magic Star Jumbo Rake, it cost $17.50. I promise you will love it!

Staple Products March 2012

Since September 2009, I have tried a lot of products, and I must admit I was a product junkie. However what I learned from using all those products was how they actually worked and in some cases did not work on MY hair. Let me stress MY hair because I would get so excited when I read how a product made someones hair grow, I would rush out and buy it, or purchase it online because in West Texas your product choices are slim. Don't get me wrong, we have Sally's Beauty Supply, and I definitely have my discount card :-)) and we a couple of stores that sale Ethnic products, but most of the products are out of date. I mean it is terrible when you have dust on your product, and shelves! So after all that trial and error, as well as, lurking in the shadows of blogs like From Short to Long, Kimmietube, and Hairscapades I found my staple products!

Curls Unleased- New Product

Well tonight, 4/2/2012, I ran on my treadmill for 61.44 mins, 813 calories, and 4 miles. I feel good about my workout routine. I decided to use a new product to cowash with, I picked it up at Walgreens. I think I'm going to use it as my cowash after my workouts. I'll keep you posted on how it makes my hair feel. Pick this product up and tell me what you think. I used my Kimmie-tube leaven version and sealed with JBCO. I decided to braid my hair into three sections. I am going to try the same method as Hairscapades described to grow out my nape. Happy Growing Ladies!
